Don't Sign Anything Just Yet

Once you have spoken with your surgeon and gathered all of the necessary information, you need to go home and digest it all for several weeks before signing on the dotted line. Replay the recordings you made during your consultations to make sure you fully understand the whole process, the side-effects, etc and to ensure there is nothing you may have missed.

If you do find something you want to discuss with your surgeon, or need further clarification about something you may have even already spoken about, please ensure you make another appointment to go back and speak with him. ETS surgery will change your life in one way or another. You need to be 100% certain you want to proceed with this.

And then, get a second opinion. It's very common to have two medical professionals suggest a different course of action for the same medical issue. Who knows, the second surgeon may recommend medication that the first one didn't even mention. So you just want to ensure there is nothing else you can possibly do that would affect your final decision.
