Don't Believe Testimonials Provided By Your Surgeon Or On Their Website

Testimonials from previous patients provided by your surgeon or what you read on your doctor or surgeon's websites about ETS surgery are NOT worth the piece of paper they are written on.

There are a couple of reasons for this, but first, as you would have already read, everybody is wired slightly differently and the amount of duplication in the sympathetic nervous system varies from one person to the next. This means there is absolutely no guarantee that the results obtained by another patient will be the same as yours, even if you were to present with the exact same symptoms, you had the same surgeon, and the same surgeon performed the exact same procedure. Even with everything identical, the outcome of ETS surgery can be completely poles apart.

You would have also read about the 'Honeymoon Period' where many of the injuries/impairments do not appear immediately after surgery but can appear weeks, months and even years after surgery. That is why surgeons who request testimonials from their patients try to get them as soon as possible, usually whilst the patients are still in hospital and before the extent of their injuries are known.

And believe it or not, some testimonials found on your surgeons website are completely fictitious and simply made up. However, it is very easy to spot the fake testimonials, especially when they include a photo of the patient. Simply right click on the image and in the drop-down menu that appears on your screen, select 'Search image with Google' and presto, that same image will often be found on a completely unrelated website, proving they were not even an ETS patient.
