The Sweating 'Feels' Different Than Before Surgery

Although for many of us WITHOUT a sweating problem, there are still times when we all sweat profusely, whether it be whilst exercising, during hot weather, etc. But the interesting thing is, we don't usually 'feel' super uncomfortable because the very nature of sweating is designed to cool the body down.

However, for those who have had ETS surgery, sweating profusely now 'feels' different. In fact, it now feels absolutely horrendous, like not having showered for weeks on end. Sure, this is partly due to the fact there is a hell of a lot more sweat, but the main reason it feels so different for ETS patients is due to your thermoregulation system no longer working. (Yes, the very thing your doctor failed to mention). Your sweat is now doing very little to cool the body down, and for most ETS patients it feels like hot water leaching from your skin.

So although some are able to easily hide the sweat from soaking through their clothing, there is nothing available to stop this unbearable 'feeling' that you will now get after having ETS surgery. Just this feeling alone would have been enough to stop me from going ahead with the surgery if I knew how to experience it beforehand.
