The Honeymoon Phase

Occasionally you do hear success stories from those that have had ETS Surgery. Time and time again we hear of patients that have been extremely happy with the outcome of their surgery. They now have a new lease on life and can put all their sweaty woes behind them for good. But for many, their satisfaction is short lived.
The 'Honeymoon Phase' is the term used to describe the initial period where your surgery appears to be a complete success. Your sweating has stopped, the anxiety you used to have when you know the sweat is about to start dripping from your hands has all but disappeared, and you have walked away from surgery with absolutely no side-effects or impairments. In fact, life couldn't be any better.
However, over time the sympathetic nerves often try to reconnect and repair themselves, but due to the complex nature of our nervous systems, the nerves never go back the same way. And when this happens, erroneous signals and nerve impulses begin being sent around the body, causing absolute havoc with your autonomous nervous system.
This can lead to all the same side-effects you have been reading about including excessive body sweating from the neck down, impairment of your fight/flight response, failure to regulate your body temperature, heart problems, eye problems, sexual problems, and of course all the rest.
So if you have recently had ETS surgery and believe that this procedure is the best thing since sliced bread, enjoy the Honeymoon Phase while it lasts. Because I can almost guarantee you that it won't last forever.
