Vasodilation is the medical term for when blood vessels in your body widen, allowing more blood to flow through them. This occurs naturally in response to low oxygen levels or increases in body temperature. It&#8217;s purpose is to increase blood flow and oxygen delivery to parts of the body that need it most. This process happens normally in your body without you even realizing it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Conversely, vasoconstriction of the blood vessels is the constricting of the blood vessels and is also a natural part of your body balancing its systems.
